James Blair, PT

Jim is the cofounder and co-owner of Professional Care Physical Therapy. He received his Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy with high honors from Daemen College, in Buffalo, New York in 1999. He has extensive experience treating both orthopedic and sports related injuries.

Prior to opening Professional Care Physical Therapy Jim held the position of clinical director for a large physical therapy practice in Bay Shore. Jim was responsible for training and supervising physical therapists and physical therapy assistants of all experience levels. Jim was also the director of the physical therapy facility responsible for treating the Long Island Lady Riders professional soccer team, and the Long Island Lizards professional lacrosse team.

Jim has focused his career on developing skills for orthopedic manual therapy. His continuing education includes coursework in Mckenzie, McConnel, Mulligan, and extensive coursework from the Institute of Physical Art focusing on manual therapy of the spine and extremities. He has also been certified through Body Balance for Performance for the evaluation and treatment of golfers. Jim has been a member of the APTA since 2000.

Jim is a Certified Clinical Instructor for student Physical therapists from local colleges and universities, helping new therapists gain knowledge and experience in the field.

He lives in East Moriches with his wife, Kerri and three children, Tyler, Kayla and Aiden. He enjoys coaching his children's athletic teams, and participating in community events that stress health and fitness.
