Jaclyn Rauchfuss, PTA

Jackie grew up in Rockville Centre, NY, graduating from South Side High School in 2002. Throughout her childhood, Jackie played on many athletic teams, enjoyed volunteering for different organizations including Camp A.N.C.H.O.R., and worked as a Town of Hempstead lifeguard for 7 years. All of these experiences led Jackie to a career where she would be able to help and care for others.

To begin fulfilling her goal, she earned a Bachelors of Science degree in the Health Sciences with a concentration in Pre-Physical Therapy, at James Madison University in 2006. She went on to pursue an Associate in Applied Science, Physical Therapist Assistant degree at Nassau Community college, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2012. Jackie was the Vice-President of her graduating PTA class, was invited and inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa Honors Fraternity, received the Nassau Community College Presidential Award, Academic Excellence Award, the Allied Health Sciences Dept. Certificate of Achievement, and the PTA Area Award.

With more than 15 years of experience in the field of physical therapy, Jackie has employment experiences as an aide in outpatient offices and a broad range of clinical affiliations which have prepared her with the skills and knowledge needed to be successful in this challenging field. In addition to working with clients in a wellness and fitness program, she has experience working with pediatric patients in a school setting, geriatric patients, and vestibular and balance patients. She also has experience treating surgical and non-surgical outpatient orthopedic and sports-related injuries, traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries, as well as other neurological conditions.

Jackie has been a member of the APTA, NY Chapter, since 2011.
