Kim grew up in Mineola, New York and graduated from Mineola High School. From a young age, Kim participated in many sports including softball, volleyball, dance, and basketball. She was a key player on her high school basketball team, as well as taking a leadership role as a speaker for the Student-Athlete Leadership Program. This program was designed to mentor and encourage young students in the areas of athletics, good sportsmanship, and life-long service to others.
After high school, Kim went on to study at Hofstra University, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree, with a minor in Psychology. Subsequently, Kim entered the field of finance where she worked for many years while raising her three children. During those years, Kim continued her passion in the areas of health and fitness. As a result, she pursued and obtained certifications from the American Council of Exercise and the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
To further her education, Kim earned her Associate Degree in Applied Science, Physical Therapy Assistant Program at Suffolk County Community College, graduating with highest distinction. Kim was the treasurer of the Physical Therapy Assistant Club and was selected for the Maureen Davidson Memorial PTA Scholarship. Kim’s clinical experience involves inpatient rehabilitation, skilled nursing, cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation, and outpatient orthopedics. Kim is a member of the APTA and intends to further her career in specialties including cancer rehabilitation and geriatric care.
