    Professional Care Physical Therapy in Riverhead is one of my favorite PT practices. I’ve been through numerous injuries over the years from sports and running and this is by far my favorite practices. Not to mention they are open later than most places, which I needed for my job. Especially now with COVID, the office is kept extremely clean. The therapists, aids, and staff all take precautions wearing face masks and gloves. They are also temperature checking every time a patient comes in and sanitizing equipment after every time it’s touched. They are being very thorough with their cleaning and sanitation procedures. Patients are also being spread out on the tables so that they are kept at a safe distance from each other. I feel comfortable entering Professional Care to meet my needs during these times. As for the therapists, I have seen almost every therapist at this practice because of my schedule. I have never once been disappointed. Every therapist here has done an amazing job working on me before and after my knee surgery and I would be happy to see any one of them. The aids are also extremely helpful and walk you through each exercise during your session, one by one and give you directions and reminders to make sure exercises are done correctly. If you’re looking for a Physical Therapy practice where the therapists are knowledgeable and take their time to fully meet your needs, where the office is kept very clean, and is pretty flexible with scheduling, this is your place! I highly recommend Professional Care to anyone in the Riverhead or surrounding area!

  • Not only is she dedicated to making sure you are ok, but she truly is an expert in her craft...

    Amanda was amazing. She is a hand specialist. I’m a Medical Massage Therapist and injured my hand. She made this special type of hand-cast for my fingers and if it wasn’t for her I would not be working to my full capacity. You can tell she loves what she does. For me, she is a gift and I highly recommend her. Not only is she dedicated to making sure you are ok, but she truly is an expert in her craft…

    ProCare is a truly amazing place with a very caring and compassionate staff. George and his team skillfully motivate their patients and inspire them to do their best through encouragement and kindness. George is exceptionally knowledgeable, and the entire staff REALLY cares about how the patients are progressing. Several years ago, after breaking two femurs, I experienced the wonderful work which ProCare accomplishes. I arrived in a wheelchair and am now back to walking as I did before my injuries. I highly recommend ProCare!

    I have been going to Professional Care PT for over 5 months! I’ve gone to a few other therapists, but must say that my experience at Prof. Care has been the best, by far! I suffer from pain in my neck, shoulders, spine, hips, knees, and fibromyalgia! Dan, my personal PT, has been treating me all along, and I must say that he always goes Above and Beyond and I highly recommend him to anyone suffering from ANY type of disability or pain issues. Love the 2 Erin’s’, Will, Nick, and ALL the amazing pt assistants and must say that their quick attention to my various needs is much appreciated!   • I wholeheartedly would recommend this practice to anyone who is in need of therapy.

    I started physical therapy in March 2018 after having my left knee replaced on January 29. I was lucky enough to have Darek in charge of my therapy. It has been a long road, not an easy recovery, but I’m so glad this is the place I decided to come to. Everyone here treats their patients with the utmost respect, and that goes a long way. From the moment you walk in the door, you are greeted by name from anyone who sees you. As for Darek, he is a very professional caring man, who really gets to know his patients. And when you’re going for 3 months, you develop a relationship with people that makes it easier to go to the place where sometimes it’s not always fun. I wholeheartedly would recommend this practice to anyone who is in need of therapy.

    Professional Care Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation is amazing. I had an ankle injury and my doctor sent me to them, and I couldn’t be happier.   • I highly recommend Procare for all physical therapy needs.

    If there were more than five stars I would give them because they are deserved. Everyone who works here is caring, professional, and helpful. Jim and the staff have gotten me through more than one rehab stint with great success. After a knee replacement, I could not drive and had to go someplace closer to my home. BIG Mistake! The care and treatment was no way near adequate and recovery was not a good experience. Once I could drive and came back to Procare what a difference! I will never again make the mistake of not coming here.

    Jim also treated my son when he injured his ankle. Another success.

    I highly recommend Procare for all physical therapy needs.

    Tom and the staff have been awesome to both of my children. Tom was able to get my daughter back on the court stronger then she was before her injury. Tom is now working to get my son back on the field after his ACL surgery. I can’t say enough about how friendly the staff is and always make you feel welcome when you walk in the door.

    I honestly cannot say enough nice things about these people. They are a fantastic, caring group, who genuinely care about you, and getting you better. I’ve been there for three different conditions, and have always come out feeling stronger, and healthier, and on one occasion was able to bypass surgery on my shoulder.     Do you have somewhere you go that when you walk through the door you immediately feel welcome? WELL…that’s exactly what I experienced at Professional Care Physical Therapy. My surgeon adamantly stressed that I cancel another physical therapy organization I had already scheduled to “go see George”. My spinal surgery was so severe another surgeon declined to attempt. Therefore, my surgeon made sure I would be in the BEST physical therapy hands possible. ALL the staff has definitely made me feel why he made this referral. Plus…they are kind people. My progress is coming along phenomenally! How great are they you ask? WELL, again, noticing how much I am improving… my sister now goes for her physical therapy needs! OH!     I’ve been getting migraines and tension headaches for years now and would’ve never thought it was from all the stress I held in my neck. I came here and was evaluated by Brooks about 5 months to writing this, and he helped me set goals for making my neck, less tight. I’ve received treatments from Brooks, Jim, Jackie and, George and they are all phenomenal physical therapists. The entire staff is welcoming and helpful and worked to accommodate appointments with my busy schedule. I am now headache free, with better posture and no pain.     Professional Care Physical Therapy is amazing. I was a patient for multiple issues, and every time I went, I was treated professionally, and with compassion. George Ciresi was my primary PT, and I could not have asked for anyone better. All of my concerns were always addressed, and I never felt rushed. Jim Blair also treated me, and I always appreciated the therapy I received. The entire staff is awesome, from the front desk to the assistants and aides.     I cannot say enough about Professional Care Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation in Riverhead. Aside from the entire staff having awesome and enthusiastic personalities, treatment is ALWAYS provided by licensed professionals; the attention and care are ALWAYS personal; treatment is ALWAYS “hands on”. I have never had a problem scheduling an appointment time at or around the time most convenient for me; and perhaps most importantly, the Physical Therapists LISTEN to the patients and ASK QUESTIONS about how they are feeling and what seems to be effective and what is not. They have an obvious rapport with all of their patients. I have not had anything but a positive physical therapy experience there, and my progress in healing is exciting and encouraging. You simply cannot go wrong with Professional Care!

    I am so grateful to Dr. Brooks Comeno! He treated & worked with me for almost 3 months. When I first started therapy, I could barely walk (for exercise) due to an undiagnosed labral hip tear. The pain improved with his course of exercises & treatment. He is a true professional, incredibly knowledgeable & has great interpersonal skills. He kept trying new exercises & stretches to help me improve. Although I am still not 100 %, his guidance & wisdom I know will help me to continue on the road to improvement.   • I am now almost 4 months past surgery and my foot feels great.

    I had foot surgery in mid August and started PT w Darek at the end of September. I’m convinced that the 13 sessions I had with him sped up my recovery significantly. I am now almost 4 months past surgery and my foot feels great. I am thrilled now that I had the surgery and am thankful that Darek and his team were so helpful. Their expertise, concern and professionalism made each visit a pleasure and really made a difference in my recovery.   • Pain is now gone, mobility restored!

    Absolutely top-notch rehab facility. I came in weeks ago with an excruciating sacroiliac injury. Pain meds didn’t help. Stretching and strengthening exercises did. Pain is now gone, mobility restored. Special thanks to my therapist, Dan, as well as Amanda and Nicole.

  • And before your know it, this 57 year old will be break dancing again!

    On December 6, 2021, I had complete right knee replacement surgery. Afterwards, I was expected to complete 1-2 months of physical therapy. I can’t tell you how blessed I am to have found this practice. From making my initial appointment on the phone, to being greeted with a warm welcome by the receptionists on my first visit, to experiencing a thorough and informative evaluation by Lara, EVERY PERSON I encountered, treated me professionally and as if I were a member of their “family”.

    I am so incredibly thankful for the wonderful people that I have met here, like my amazing PT Lara, Alvaro, who always makes sure that I’m doing my exercises correctly and all of the attentive young staff members catering to the various needs of their patients. They may all say that “it’s their job or that’s what they are supposed to do” which may be true in some cases. But what sets this staff apart from others is that they create personal relationships with their patients and are genuinely interested in helping them get where they need/want to be. I will be forever grateful for their continuous support and encouragement. And before your know it, this 57 year old will be break dancing again. Just need to remember where I left my cardboard.
