Dr. Megan Gottlieb, PT, DPT

Dr. Megan Gottlieb attended SUNY Cortland where she graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. During Megan’s time at SUNY Cortland, she adopted an active lifestyle by working out daily in which she applied her knowledge from college coursework to specific training techniques. Megan also sustained several injuries growing up as a competitive gymnast which introduced her to the physical therapy field. Based on personal experience and her education obtained at SUNY Cortland, Megan became passionate about maximizing human performance and injury prevention.

After graduating from SUNY Cortland, Megan enrolled in Stony Brook University’s Doctorate of Physical Therapy Program, where she graduated in June 2019. During her time at Stony Brook, Megan completed clinical rotations in three different outpatient settings where she gained experience treating general post-operative patients, various orthopedic injuries, and neurological disorders. Megan also completed a clinical rotation in a hospital acute care setting where she had the opportunity to treat patients at bedside. While completing her doctorate, Megan also worked as a personal trainer for young to middle-aged athletes and older adults seeking a healthy and fit lifestyle. As a result of her clinical affiliations and personal training experience, Megan developed an interest in treating patients of all ages with various orthopedic conditions.

Since receiving her Doctorate of Physical Therapy, Megan has been working in the general outpatient setting. She aspires to grow as a physical therapist by completing continuing education courses and obtaining certifications in order to treat patients using the best evidence-based practice methods.
